Looking For American Express Credit Card
It’s hard imagining life in today’s world without a credit card. The funny thing is how you lose some of the services you took for granted when you destroy your American Express card like I did. I found I couldn’t join my local gym, order clothes over the internet or even reserve a plane ticket to New York, online, the basic stuff of life. Not that many years ago, people preferred cash to credit, but not now.
It is a global phenomenon buying products or services with your American Express credit card without even caring whether or not we can afford them or even need them. Your American Express card may be convenient but there is a heavy penalty for buying now and paying later. In many places around the world, credit card debts are increasing at a worrying rate. It is not a lie when I say the credit card debts are the biggest worry facing the people in America.
This is the primary reason I decided to cancel my American Express credit card recently. Parting with your money that you don’t see leaving you is easy and makes you spend more. Charging everything to my card was stupid because before too long the debts just spiraled out of control. I stated to panic because the debt became so great it was impossible to pay it.
It took a debt consultancy specialist to finally get me back into a position where I actually started to pay my debt off. The whole situation was a nightmare. There is a happy ending though because my debt is paid off and the American Express credit card has been destroyed. Most of you reading this will probably think it’s not the fault of the credit card but you need to understand something fundamental about human psychology.
When I had to pay with everything in cash, I would know just what I had at any given time. The credit card just made it so easy; you don’t even look at the cost. I would just keep spending, not realizing until all the money was gone. Now, there is no longer a problem because there’s no longer an American Express credit card.
